Worldwide (includes US search)
In addition to searching US patents and published patent applications, we use databases available at the US Patent and Trademark Office to search all patents and applications available in English, including abstracts from the European Patent Office (EPO), Japanese Patent Office(JPO), World Intellectual Property Office (WIPO). It is virtually impossible to do a proper worldwide patent search without using the resources available at the US PTO, so whoever you choose to work with on your international search, be sure that they are using a searcher who is based in Alexandria and uses the Patent Office public search facility.
