Patent Project Management? Project management is developing and implementing processes that make patenting more uniform, efficient and cost effective. In short, we take care of the boring, mundane details. What are the boring, mundane details? Anything that must get done but that isn't directly related to creating and prosecuting your patent application. These include:
How do you take care of the boring stuff? We run and maintain a virtual network, using tools like Intuit Quickbase and our own fully networked research platform PSV, to connect individual inventors with sole practitioners. We have created uniform processes for doing all of the tasks in the application process. Costs are lower because the infrastucture is lighter (no wood-paneled law offices to pay for, etc.), and things can move faster because no one it bogged down with the busy work. What is the benefit of using Simple Patents Project Management? Lower costs. Simple Patents charges flat rates for our project management services, and the practioners in our network perform their services by quote, rather than billing at hourly rates. Practioners do not need to spend extra time and energy. Can I use your system to write and submit my own patent application? Sorry, but our systems are only available to registered patent practitioners. Does this mean I won't ever get to talk to the practitioner? Absolutely not! Tranparency is another tenet of our business. You can work as closely as you like with the practitioner on your project as you like. |
